New GIS Training Course Dates

ABPmer and the GeoData Institute announce next set of dates for CPD training course in Coastal and Marine GIS

ABPmer and the GeoData Institute at the University of Southampton are pleased to announce new dates for the next round of the ‘Introduction to Coastal and Marine GIS’ course. The course is aimed at coastal managers and those working in the coastal and marine sectors. It introduces GIS concepts and techniques using ArcGIS 9.x.

The 3-day course will give delegates a working knowledge of ArcGIS, coastal datasets and common issues associated with Coastal and Marine GIS (e.g. map projections). It also includes a GIS project showcase drawn from ABPmer’s portfolio and a GIS clinic where delegates will have the opportunity to discuss their own data and issues.

The next course takes place on 

8-10 August 2007.

Further course dates are:

24-27 September 2007
20-22 November 2007
